Quilter Box - June 2019
$ 35.00
June's Maker Valley Quilter Box includes:
  1. Six Fat Quarters of Fabric - Five fat quarters of Kindred Spirits fabric by Jill Howarth for Riley Blake Fabrics + one fat quarter of the basic Blossom in celery. Kindred Spirits is a fabric line based on Anne of Green Gables. I love any and everything that has to do with Anne Shirley! I have such fond memories of watching the series (the 1985 version) with my Mom & sisters, and I’ve always loved the idea of “kindred spirits” and “bosom friends.” This line is as charming as the stories are. It was designed by the amazing Jill Howarth (@zippyboro on Instagram), who is one of my favorite artists. Her
    work graces the covers of Scholastic Books as well as many other products and is just beautiful. I encourage you to check her out! The Blossom fabric is a basic designed by Christopher Thompson (@the_tattooed_quilter on Instagram) and comes in a variety of gorgeous rainbow hues. I picked
    celery to compliment the Kindred Spirits bundle. (Retail value: $21)
  2. Bloom (Allison Harris - Cluck Cluck Sew). This pattern is perfect for a confident beginner and is just darling! It uses six fat quarters, so you could easily use the FQs included here to make it! ($9.95)
  3. 1/4 yard of Confetti Cottons, in Riley Raspberry by Riley Blake. A bright pink solid color to coordinate with the FQ bundle for the flower centers of your new Bloom pattern. ($2)
  4. Mini Ruler Pal By Pleasant Home for Riley Blake in apple green. I personally have about five of these ruler pals in my sewing room and could probably use more! They are so handy to have on your cutting table and aren’t bulky. I hope you love it! ($9.99)
  5. Washi Tape 4-pack by Lauren Nash for Riley Blake. I confess that I collect washi tape faster than I can use it, but I couldn’t pass up this bundle of sewing & quilting themed washi! Too cute! ($9.99)
  6. This Is My Happy Place 5”x7” art print by David Lesué for Maker Valley. This print was designed (hand-drawn) last year by my husband, Dave. We re-colored it in bright, cheery colors for this month’s box and we think it’s the perfect addition to your sewing room. If you follow me on Instagram (@makervalley) you know I have bulletin boards in my sewing room for photos, enamel pins, and art prints like this. I hope this print finds its way to your happy place! ($9)
  7. Handpicked Flowers enamel pin by Maker Valley + Lella Boutique. We produced a few pins in collaboration with Vanessa Goertzen - Lella Boutique and this dainty floral from Vanessa’s Garden Variety fabric line seemed like the perfect addition to this month’s floral theme! ($9.95)
  8. Make Floral vinyl sticker by David Lesué for Maker Valley. We took our popular “Make” design that we have previously printed on t-shirts and hoodies and re-colored it as an exclusive product for this box. I asked Dave to recolor this using a rainbow color scheme and he exceeded my expectations! I love it SO much! We made it bigger (4”) and I can’t wait to use it! I’m thinking it will go on my white water bottle. We love these stickers because the thick, durable vinyl protects them from scratches, water and sunlight. ($4)
